The AGM has been held and a new committee elected for 2010/11. President: Adrian Hinds Immediate Past President: Gail Guthrie Vice President: Maureen Cowdell Secretary: Claire Jacobs Treasurer: Andrew Milne Committee: Sabine Blankner Nigel Levinson Mike Neunuebel Karen Short Gail and Heather Falconer (past Treasurer) were both presented with a gift for the work they had both put into the Chamber over many years. BAH was held following the meeting, jointly hosted by the Shire and the Chamber. Shire CEO Dale Stewart gave an informative account of the Shires financial position and outlined some of the functions carried out by the Administration and statistics attached to that work. Members are reminded that the next Business after Hours will be held at the Denmark Community Resource Centre (Telecentre) in Strickland Street on 15th September 2010. The Denmark Chamber of Commerce (DCC) provides support for local business. The DCC actively promotes Denmark and the Great Southern Region. The office is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from10am to 4pm. The Chamber staff welcomes your personal queries regarding business. The Denmark Chamber of Commerce is an independent incorporated body administered by a President, Treasurer and Committee members. An Annual General Meeting is held in August and Ordinary General Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month. We welcome members at any of our meetings.
